PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driver and portable equipment with a camera which has a simple constitution, has the small number of components, and is suitable for miniaturization. SOLUTION: The lens driver 1 comprises a moving body 10 equipped with a lens and a fixing body 24 which moves the moving body 10 in the optical axis 11 direction of the lens 14 and retains the moving body 10. Further, the moving body 10 has either one side of a driving magnet 16 and first and second driving coils 28, 30 and the fixing body 24 has either other one side of the driving magnet 16 and the first and second driving coils 28, 30. Therein, the driving magnet 16 and the first and second driving coils 28, 30 are arranged in the optical axis 11 direction so as to make the moving body 10 movable owing to mutual magnetic attractive force and magnetic repulsive force.
