PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in image quality, such as luminance unevenness and chromaticity unevenness caused by a variation in the amount of wavelength distortion of a sustaining pulse due to impedance and inductance of elements and copper foil patterns in respective driver circuits of a plasma display device. SOLUTION: The plasma display device is provided with sustaining pulse generating circuits 121 only in the scan driver circuits. The circuits are so constituted that a discharge current passes the same switching elements and the same copper foil patterns during sustaining discharge except in the sustaining pulse generating circuits even when flowing from the scan driver circuits through the electrodes in the panel to the sustaining driver circuits and even when flowing from the sustaining driver circuits through the electrodes in the panel to the scan driver circuits.
