PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic pressure control device and a hydraulic pressure control method, reduced in variation of responsiveness in the respective control valves. SOLUTION: This hydraulic pressure control device supplies a command current to a linear valve as a corrected object at a value smaller than a value required for opening the valve, increases the value of the command current at a predetermined sweep speed, and detects the timeΔT as a hydraulic pressure change gradient when the linear valve is opened. The hydraulic pressure control device calculates a coefficient of correction by comparing the timeΔT showing the hydraulic pressure change gradient as a reference article, and stores the same.
