PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rising detector capable of surely detecting rising at a low cost. SOLUTION: The rising detector comprises: a sheet-like sensor 3 provided with a sheet-like member 51a where a dark iconographic image with a small number of colors tempting a user to step on with a high degree of giving mental discomfort is plotted and a sensor 52 attached to the sheet-like member 51a and operated by weight; sheets 2 and 4-7 where a brighter iconographic image with a larger number of colors than the iconographic image of the sheet-like member 51a not tempting the user to step on with the low degree of giving the mental discomfort is plotted on a surface and which are arranged side by side with the sheet-like sensor 3 on a floor surface; a sensor output line 31 for outputting detection signals from the sheet-like sensor 3; and a nurse call master unit 36 connected to the sensor output line 31 for recording a rising detection operation on the basis of the detection signals.
