PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily ensure meter visibility, to increase degree of freedom in meter layout, to lower the center of gravity of a motorcycle, to make effective use of a motorcycle space, and to increase the degree of freedom in meter design by improving a steering damper device for the motorcycle. SOLUTION: In this motorcycle, a head pipe 12 rotatably supported with a steering shaft 66 is installed on the front end of a main frame 65, a meter stay 61 for supporting the meter 36 is mounted on the front of the head pipe 12, the steering damper device 35 for restraining sudden swing of a handlebar is intervened between the head pipe 12 and the steering shaft 66, the steering damper device 35 is laid out ahead of the head pipe 12 and below the meter stay 61.
