摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pad which less attacks a counterpart and offers excellent abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: A brake pad 10 consists of a fiber base material, friction adjusting agent and binder material. When the weight of the brake pad 10 is set at 100 wt.%, steel fiber or stainless fiber is included as a fiber base material in a range of not less than 15 wt.% and not more than 50 wt.%. Metals other than steels such as copper or zinc are contained as a friction adjusting agent in a range of not less than 1 wt.% and not more than 10 wt.%. Iron oxide is included in a range of not less than 1 wt.% and not more than 10 wt.%. By so doing, while suppressing attack property to a rotor 20 which is a counterpart, abrasion resistance of the brake pad 10 can be enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
