PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact type color image sensor which performs high speed reading with high resolution. SOLUTION: In the contact type color image sensor, a photoelectric transducer light receiving part 5 is constituted of first, second, third photoelectric transducers 5a, 5b, 5c and constituted so that the photoelectric transducers correspond to each of a first position 4a, a second position 4b, and a third position 4c distant from prescribed moving intervals in the sub-scanning direction 7 of an original 4 and each of the image forming position of an image at a first position by a light beam 201a with first wavelength to be formed by a refractive index distribution lens array 1, an image forming position of an image at a second position by a light beam 202b with second wavelength, and the image forming position of an image at a third position by a light beam 203c with third wavelength coincides with light receiving surfaces of the first, second, third photoelectric transducers 5a, 5b, 5c.
