PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus wherein data to be recorded in an replaceable recording medium is easily managed. SOLUTION: Information which is generated in a recording medium 32 and has a folder structure is recorded in an EEPROM 17 incorporated in an electronic camera 10. When the recording medium 32 is replaced, a user is inquired whether a folder having the same structure as the folder generated in the recording medium 32 before replacement is to be generated in the recording medium 32 after replacement or not, and a folder having the same structure as the folder generated in the recording medium 32 before replacement is generated in the recording medium 32 after replacement, on the basis of information recorded in the EEPROM 17 in response to user's selection of generation of a folder.
