PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container with a good appearance and high strength, and to provide a simple and inexpensive manufacturing method of the paper container suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: To solve the problem, the paper container 1 comprises a paper container having a tubular barrel 2 and a disklike base plate 3 and has a tubular sidewall 4 and rims 5 and 6 formed on at least one of upper and lower parts of the tubular sidewall. The barrel 2 has two layers including inner layer paper 8 and outer layer paper 7, wherein the inner layer paper 8 and the outer layer paper 7 are combined with their joints 9 and 10 for respectively forming tubes shifted in position from each other.
