PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical connection member in which occurrence of large thermal stress to a fiber grating (FG) section caused by thermal expansion and contraction of a metallic flange is prevented and a stable characteristic is maintained. SOLUTION: In the optical connection member 11 of an optical fiber 4 on which an FG section 3 is formed over a prescribed length, at least a portion of the FG section 3 of the optical fiber 4 is located within a metallic flange 15, a region excluding the FG section 3 of the optical fiber 4 is fixed to the metallic flange 15 and the flange 15 has a structure so that it does not apply thermal stress to the FG section 3.
