PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical apparatus with a display device which enhances visibility of a focal point detection frame displayed in a finder. SOLUTION: A focal point detection frame 12g is separated into a line A at an end and lines B other than the end one. A prism 12-1g forms the lines B other than the end line. A prism 120-2g forms a line A at the end. The prisms 12-1g and 12-2g are arranged in a ridge direction 12gA in which their ridges are inclined to a horizontal direction. They are also arranged so as to almost perpendicular to an incident light L7' from an illuminating means. The length L1g of the prism 12-1g is shorter than the length L2g of the prism 12-2g.
