PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which passage of a transfer medium with a low printing rate is improved and wrapping of the transfer medium around a pressure roller member (lower roller) is prevented and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The fixing device has the following conditions: Y≤0.23X+3(Y>0(mm), X<90(°)), in which an extension line which extends from the connection of the intersection of a heat roller member and a pressure roller member on the entrance side of a fixing nip part provided so as to increase distortion of the heat roller member and the intersection of the heat roller member and the pressure member on the exit side of the fixing nip is 0°, an angle between the extension line and the surface of the transfer medium is X(°), and a gap between the pressure member and a paper ejection guide plate is Y(mm).
