PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray distribution adjusting filter device constituted so as to provide a desired X-ray intensity distribution or to adjust an X-ray distribution to a desired profile. SOLUTION: A rod body filter as the X-ray distribution adjusting filter device has a fixed part 210 having a fundamental part 211 and an inclined part 212, first and second movable parts 230 constituted so as to be revolvable on the center point (O) and first and second deformation parts (220) wherein the lumen prescribed between the fixed part 210, the movable parts 230 and expansible belows 221 is filled with a fluid 280. The inclined surfaces 213 of the fixed part 210 and the flat surfaces 231 of the movable parts 230 are allowed to approach mutually or separated from each other by revolving the movable parts 230 on the center point (O) to change not only the filling amount of the fluid in the lumen of the movable parts 230 but also the cross-sectional shape of the X-ray absorbing part of the filter.
