<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which realizes the formation of a high quality image which is free from color smear or the like caused when an image formed on an image carrier (photoreceptor) is transferred onto a moving body (recording paper on a conveyance belt or an intermediate transfer belt) in an opposite position. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus controls the moving speed of the conveyance belt by determining the frequency of the drive control pulse of a conveyance belt drive motor 27 by the arithmetic operation of the CPU 36 of the apparatus so as to eliminate variations in the moving distance or moving speed of a follower roller, which result from a frequency component from which the frequency component (frequency component resulting from the follower roller) that is not included for running a conveyance belt used for a transfer process is removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
