<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which surely displays service life data at a low cost without a commercial power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a nonvolatile memory 14 which obtains and stores use condition data necessary for managing the service life period of parts/units which can be at least recycled; a display part which displays the use condition data in the nonvolatile memory 14; and a battery 16 which supplies power to at least the nonvolatile memory 14 and display part in a prescribed state where no commercial power is supplied thereto. The image forming apparatus 1 displays the use condition data of the nonvolatile memory 14 on the display part by supplying power to the display part and the nonvolatile memory 14 in the prescribed state from the battery 16. Consequently, without supplying commercial power in the step of recycling process in a recycle center, the use condition data of the recyclable parts or units are displayed, whereby the service lives of the recyclable parts or units can be checked and recyclability can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
