METHOD FOR DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a plasma display panel by which mis-discharge in a light emission sustaining process in each subfield can be prevented.

SOLUTION: The pulse width of the 1st sustaining pulse which is applied at first among sustaining pulses applied in the light emission maintaining process is made larger than the pulse width of at least one sustaining pulse among the sustaining pulses applied after the 1st sustaining pulse. Further wall charge amount regulating pulse having the same polarity as that of the sustaining pulse is simultaneously applied onto each of row electrode pairs just before application of the 1st sustaining pulse.
