<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-band transmitting and receiving antenna pair capable of compensating group delay characteristics that a wide-band antenna has and a super-wide-band radio system using them. <P>SOLUTION: A wide-band transmitting and receiving antenna has a wide-band transmitting or receiving antenna having a part which transmits a high-frequency component of a wide-band transmit signal with a relatively low delay characteristic and a part which transmits a low-frequency component of the wide-band transmit signal with a relatively high delay characteristic and a wide-band receiving or transmitting antenna having a part which receives a high-frequency component of a wide-band receive signal with a relatively low delay characteristic and a part which receives a low-frequency component of the wide-band transmit signal with a relatively low delay characteristic. With the wide-band transmitting and receiving antenna, a group delay compensation type wide-band transmitting and receiving antenna pair is obtained which is constituted in such a way that the wide-band transmitting or receiving antenna and wide-band receiving or transmitting antenna have mutually complementary delay characteristics and the wide-band receive signal received by the wide-band receiving antenna can cancel distortion that the wide-band transmit signal transmitted by the wide-band transmitting antenna transmits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
