<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out printing setting in accordance with medium information recorded to an RFID tag attached to a printing medium. <P>SOLUTION: A printer control part 001 reads the RFID tag of a sheet placed in a sheet feed cassette from an RFID tag read part 273 set near the sheet feed cassette of the image formation device. First, its number of sheets and the number of sheets necessary for printing to be carried out from now are counted, and the numbers are compared with each other. When the number of sheets in the cassette is smaller, warning is carried out. In the case where it is judged that printing by a set printing mode is impossible for the kind of the medium read from the RFID tag, warning of the fact is carried out.
