<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new agrochemical, especially insecticide or acaricide. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides a substituted benzanilide compound expressed by general formula (1) [G is a ring such as G-7, G-13 or G-17; W<SP>1</SP>and W<SP>2</SP>are each independently oxygen atom or sulfur atom; X is a halogen atom or the like; Y is a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each independently hydrogen atom, a 1-12C alkyl, a 1-6C alkylthio(1-6C)alkyl or the like; R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>6a</SP>and R<SP>6b</SP>are each independently hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C haloalkyl, a phenyl group optionally substituted (Z<SP>2</SP>)<SB>p1</SB>or the like; R<SP>6i</SP>, R<SP>6j</SP>and R<SP>6k</SP>are each independently hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or the like; Z<SP>2</SP>is a halogen atom, a 1-6C haloalkoxy, a 1-6C alkylsulfonyl or the like; m and n are each independently an integer of 0-4; and p1 is an integer of 1-5].
