PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer which has both a carboxy functional part and a substituted amide, silanol or amine oxide functional part, effectively being applied to a glass adhesion composition. SOLUTION: The copolymer effective in glass adhesion, comprises 30-99.99 wt.% at least one acid function-having monomer unit, 0.01-30 wt.% at least one comonomer unit selected from the group consisting of a substituted amide monomer. a silanol monomer, an amine oxide monomer and their mixture and 0-50 wt.% at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer unit.
