PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder which manages/limits the use of the video recorder in each user and has improved the operability of an operation concerning a video recording reservation of a program. SOLUTION: This video recorder 1 uses a fingerprint image of a user read by a fingerprint reading part 11 to specify the user and manages/limits the use of the video recorder in each user. The video recorder 1 sets a program that the user repeatedly makes a reservation for video recording as a target program for an automatic video recording reservation and automatically makes a video recording reservation. Then, the user does not have to perform the operation concerning a video recording reservation so that the operability of the operation concerning a video recording reservation in the user can be improved.
