PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound probe capable of improving durability by preventing penetration of liquid generated when detecting continuously an internal defect of a metal band. SOLUTION: In this ultrasound probe used in the liquid, having an ultrasonic vibrator for oscilating an ultrasonic wave and a protection body for protecting the ultrasonic vibrator, and having plastic filled in a clearance between the ultrasonic vibrator and the protection body, the plastic surface in contact with the liquid during flaw detection is coated with a silicone resin.
