PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage apparatus designed hardly allowing dust and water or the like to accumalate in a gap between each side of an opening section of a drain gutter and a grating by adopting a simple means. SOLUTION: The drainage apparatus 1 is equipped with the drain gutter 4 opened in the floor 3 and the grating 6 installed in the opening section 5 of the drain gutter 4. The opening section 5 is expanded in the longitudinal direction of the drain gutter in order to hold the grating 6, and it has two step surfaces located downward from the floor 3 and the side 8 connecting each step surface 7 and the floor 3. The whole both sides 8 have respectively a downward slope toward the step surface 7 from the floor 3 side, and each of them is inclined so as to connect to the step surface 7.
