A fluid flow diverter constructed inside a pipe fitting (9) that is suited to prevent polluted initial rainfall collected from a roof or other collection area from being piped into a water storage tank while providing means to collect clean and relatively pure later rainfall and which resets itself automatically following a delay in rainfall. The diverter depends for its operation on a valve piston (1) which is adjustable by means of a unique moveable cover (5) and a unique valve seat (8) which forms a frictional fit with the interior of a pipe fitting (9). The valve piston (1) provides an interior fluid collection reservoir that fills with fluid weighting down the piston valve (1) into a seated position on the valve seat (8) which blocks the fluid flow path, thereby diverting the fluid flow into a tank or other receptacle. |
