<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the light quantity corresponding to color or gradation in terms of an image forming apparatus for forming a latent image by optically writing on an image carrier body. <P>SOLUTION: A correction data generating device 60 is coupled to a print sample reading device 70 for reading a test pattern on a print sample PS formed by using an LPH (light emitting diode print head) 14. The correction data generating device 60 comprises a read data receiving section 61 for receiving read data, a density ratio data converting section 62 for converting the read data to density ratio data, a correction resolution storing section 63 for storing correction resolution data by each color, a correction value calculating section 64 for calculating a correction value based on the density ratio data and the correction resolution data corresponding to the color, and a correction value output section 65 for writing to output the correction value obtained for every color in a memory 31. When an image is formed, the correction value of cyan stored in the memory 31 by a writing control section 32 in an image output control section 30 is read to be input to the LPH 14C of cyan, and then the correction of the light quantity is carried out by an LPH driver 55. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
