<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device for a car capable of communicating between a portable machine and an onboard machine even when a communication means with the portable machine is brought to an uncommunicable state. <P>SOLUTION: The communication device 1 for the car transmits an excitation signal to the onboard machine 3 and the portable machine 2.
