<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating an authenticity deciding body by using geometric optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for discriminating an authenticity deciding body, an authenticity deciding body A1 is structured of a continuous body consisting of almost linear and uniform micro-triangle pole-like prisms 3 made of a transparent resin material, and formed in parallel on a base, and fixed to an authenticating medium formed with a pictorial pattern for authentication. In this authenticity deciding body A1, a ridge line 3R of the vertical angle part of each of the micro-triangle pole-like prisms comes close to or comes into contact with the surface of the authenticating medium, and a surface other than the ridge line forms a space with the authentication medium. A discrimination tool B1 structured of the micro-triangle pole-like prisms 3 constituted in parallel of the material whose refractive index is substantially the same as that of the authenticity deciding body A1, and of the same shapes and dimensions is overlapped on the surface of the base, and observed from the right above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
