PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional magnetic supporting device wherein shaft balance is lost and worsening of control performance such as deterioration of transient response characteristic occurs when a shaft is moved to a position other than a central position which is an intermediate position between two electromagnets opposing to the shaft which is a supported body. SOLUTION: This magnetic supporting device is provided with a pair of electromagnets arranged by opposing to the outside of the supported body mutually to displace a position of the supported body by magnetic force, a displacement sensor provided in the outside of the supported body to detect a position of the supported body, a position controller in which a feedback signal from the displacement sensor and a control target command signal are inputted and which outputs a control current command signal, and a current controller in which a bias current command signal changing in accordance with the control target command signal or the feedback signal and the control current command signal are inputted to control a current flowing in a coil of each electromagnet.
