PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device including a block having a double feed preventing mechanism of sheets of paper, structured so that the block can be supported swingably with respect to the sheet feed body simply. SOLUTION: The sheet feeding device is equipped with a feed roller to transport the stacked sheets and a double feed preventive roller positioned mating with the feed roller and grasping each sheet and transporting while a separation effect is given to the sheets, and is further furnished with a first transmission part having a drive shaft and transmitting the power from the drive shaft, a second transmission part to transmit the power from the first to the double feed preventive roller, and a retaining member to retain the second transmission part and the double feed preventive roller.
