摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a high production cost of magnetic devices which is caused by expensive noble metals, such as Pt, contained in large amounts in an Mn-type antiferromagnetic alloy used for the magnetic devices. SOLUTION: The antiferromagnetic alloy is an alloy containing elements of Mn, Ru and Ga and has a composition represented by Mn<SB>100-x-y</SB>Ru<SB>x</SB>Ga<SB>y</SB>(where 0<x≤40 and 0<y≤40 are satisfied) and also has crystals having face-centered structure, and further, the ratio between the lattice constant of c-axis and that of a-axis of the crystal lattice satisfies c/a=1.
