PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a switching valve mechanism 20 in an electrolytic water producing apparatus provided with the switching valve mechanism 20 having a switching valve 20a for switching the connection between respective electrolytic chambers R1 and R2 and respective outflow conduits 41 and 42 corresponding to the inversion in the polarity of each electrolytic chamber R1 and R2 in a diaphragm cell 10. SOLUTION: In the switching valve mechanism 20, the switching valve 20a is provided with an impeller 22, which switches the communicating state between a pair of inflow ports and a pair of outflow ports provided on the valve housing 21 while being operated rotatively by motor driving, in a valve housing 21, and is arranged at the position where retaining water always exists inside the valve housing 21. Thus, the occurrence of a dry atmosphere in the valve housing 21 is prevented, and the tight adhesion of the impeller 22 to the valve housing 21 and the firm sticking of scale thereto caused by the generation of a dry atmosphere are prevented, so that the durability of the switching valve mechanism 20 is improved.
