PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the housing volume efficiency of the entire cabinet and to improve housing operability and the appearance design of the cabinet as well relating to a housing apparatus for which a housing rack body used in an article housing furniture in a living room, a kitchen or the like is movable between a stored position and a using position. SOLUTION: A housing furniture apparatus is provided with a sub housing section part 29 opened to the outside of the cabinet on the outside of the operation mechanism and operation track range of the rack body 23 of an elevating / lowering type housing apparatus to be a main housing section part inside the cabinet 21, and a housing container body 31 operated back and forth between the stored position and the using position is provided in the section part 29. Thus, the dead space of the main elevating / lowering type housing device is utilized and the housing volume efficiency is improved.
