<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music reproducing device with which reproduction characteristics of guide speech can be set so as to allow the player to sing easily. <P>SOLUTION: The music reproducing device includes a guide speech reverberation setting means 48 for setting the reverberation of the guide speech based on the reverberation of performance music, a guide speech sound volume setting means 54 for setting the sound volume of the guide speech based on the sound volume etc., of the performance music, and a guide speech frequency characteristic setting means 60 for setting the reproduction frequency characteristics of the guide speech based on the frequency characteristics etc., of the performance music and therefore the guide speech which is easy to catch can be reproduced by such things as to modulate the performance music and the guide speech and to prevent the guide speech from being negated.
