<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical information reference system and a medical information reference method capable of efficient reference in the reference of medical information. <P>SOLUTION: The identification information of a medical information viewer 12 used for the reference and the identification information of a personal digital assistant(PDA) 30 are supplied from the PDA 30 to a management server 14, and the management server 14 prepares a retrieval condition on the basis of the information and supplies it to a medical information server 13 further. The medical information server 13 prepares a second medical information list suited to the retrieval condition from a first medical information list regarding the medical information of a plurality of patients preserved beforehand and supplies it to the PDA 30.
