<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical apparatus capable of avoidig a mutual displacement of a plurality of light modulating devices thereby forming a satisfactory optical image without causing pixel displacement, and to provide a projector. <P>SOLUTION: The optical apparatus 24 comprises: three light modulating devices 240 which modulate rays of color light according to corresponding image information; and a cross dichroic prism 244 which composes the rays of color light modulated by the respective light modulating devices 240; and pin spacers 247. The light modulating devices 240 are fixed to the cross dichroic prism 244 via the pin spacers. Each pin spacer 247 comprises two pin-like projections 247A and a connecting part 247B which is located apart from one end of the cross dichroic prism 244 corresponding to the pin-like projections 247A and connects the two pin-like projections 247A together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
