PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having sufficient discharge characteristics and sufficiently exhibiting tire performance based on a cap compound from the initial wear. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, a tread part 1 is made of a two-layer structure of a cap tread rubber layer 1b and an under-tread rubber layer 1a. Volume resistivityρc of the cap tread rubber layer 1b is set to 10<SP>5</SP>-10<SP>9</SP>Ωcm and volume resistivityρu of the under-tread rubber layer 1a is set to 10<SP>4</SP>-10<SP>6</SP>Ωcm. The volume resistivityρu of the under-tread rubber layer 1a is set smaller than the volume resistivityρc of the cap tread rubber layer 1b. Thickness Gc of the cap tread rubber layer 1b is set to 2 mm or less without exposing the under-tread rubber layer 1a at least one position of a tread ground-contact part.
