PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication network system for realizing high speed of communication by using CATV transmission path. SOLUTION: A plurality of cable modem termination systems (CMTS) 103 for transmitting data through a CATV line 5, a plurality of cable modems 201, at least a pair of splitting devices 102, and a coupling device 200 are provided between a central system 1 and a terminal system 11. At least one of a request signal generated from the terminal device 11 and a response signal in accordance with the request signal is transmitted by splitting it into two or more different frequency bands.
