PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for editing a captured moving image when the moving image is automatically edited and to provide the edited moving image for appreciation. SOLUTION: The moving image editing apparatus comprises a means for dividing moving image information into time, image and audio components or the like for each of predetermined blocks partitioned by a power source ON/OFF timing or the like in photographing, a means for recognizing the moving image information for each block or for each component on the basis of inputted editing conditions to detect a block suited to the editing conditions, and a means for coupling the components of the detected blocks, this shortening the time with respect to trouble that it takes long time to edit the captured moving image.
