<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pipe from being corroded and deteriorated by hydrogen fluoride in a fuel cell system using a fluorine based solid polymer membrane. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 20 is provided with a hydrogen fluoride treatment device 50 on the way of an air circulation pipe 34 to constitute an air supply system 30 and on the way of a fuel circulation pipe 44 to constitute a fuel supply system 44. In the hydrogen fluoride treatment device 50, fluoride ion contained in generated water or reverse diffusion water is removed, or a fluoride ion concentration is reduced. The generated water or the reverse diffusion water, in which the fluoride ion is removed or the fluoride ion concentration is reduced while being treated in the hydrogen fluoride treatment device 50, are recycled back to an air humidifier 33 or a hydrogen humidifier 45 together with air or hydrogen, and utilized as a water source for humidification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
