<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaged rice mass so designed as to easily unwrap a small number of column-shaped packaged bite-size rice balls. <P>SOLUTION: This packaged rice mass is obtained by superimposing both side edges of a sheet body 2 on each other to form a bag body 1 and putting a rice mass 6 into the bag body 1. The sheet body 2 is formed by putting sheet-state food 5 between an outer film 3 and an inner film 4. The outer film 3 has a separable part 31 for separating the outer film along the side edge of the sheet body 2. The inner film 4 comprises two pieces of film 41, 42 and is formed by superimposing the pieces of film 41, 42 on each other at their inner edges in the vicinity of the separable part 31 of the outer film 3. The rice mass 6 is formed by vertically putting a plurality of small rice masses 61 long in a direction along the separable part 31 of the outer film 3.
