PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary a sample image while securing uniformity in data of the sample image in a camera apparatus capable of setting a photographing condition in photographing only by selecting the sample image.

SOLUTION: When data (120) of a sample image are fetched from a CD-ROM or the like to the camera apparatus or when displaying the sample image based on the fetched data, a serial number (120b) added to the data (120) in advance is rewritten into a number following a number added to the other data in the camera apparatus. An operation guide (12e) corresponding to the operating system of the camera apparatus for use is added. When displaying the sample image in setting the photographing condition, scene numbers to be simultaneously displayed can be made serial. The prepared sample image is displayed in the initial state, thereby securing the same operability.
