<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a display area of a display device and an input area of an input device laterally long without changing an OS which is based on use of a longitudinally long input area and display area. <P>SOLUTION: In step S54, a control program specifies one processing area from a plurality of processing areas corresponding to different processes such as English character recognition or figure recognition within the input area of a touch pad, based on a position acquired by the touch pad. In step S57, the control program corrects the coordinate of the position acquired by the touch pad by adding the offset corresponding to the specified processing area to the coordinate of the position acquired by the touch pad.
