PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect information for the association of shared information and manage information based on it. SOLUTION: In an information sharing device 10, shared information data are stored in an information data storage means 15 and managed by a management means 14. When the information data are registered as shared information, a metadata extracting means 12 extracts metadata included in the information data and creates a group of metadata about the information data. When additional description information for describing the metadata in more details is inputted, a metadata coupling means 13 couples the additional description information to the metadata to update the metadata. In this way a group of metadata about the information data are registered. The group of metadata has the semantic information of the information data, and the use of the metadata enables the information data to be semantically associated with one another.
