PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for detecting an oil level capable of preventing jolting of the valve for detecting an oil level in a state to mount the valve on a fuel tank, and sufficiently securing the flow area of a peripheral wall through-hole through which fuel steam flows. SOLUTION: The valve for detecting an oil level is constituted that an orifice 43o is formed in an upper part. a plurality of bottom through-holes 7h are formed in a bottom, and a plurality of peripheral wall through-holes 44h are formed in a peripheral wall part. The valve is provided on the outer peripheral surface of a peripheral wall part with a valve body 41 provided with a mounting part 44f and a mounting flange 44i, nipping a part of a fuel tank through rotation; a valve element 11 moved within the valve body 41 to open and close the orifice 43o; and a coil spring 21 to close the orifice 43o through movement in cooperation with buoyancy. Further, a plurality of protrusion parts 44s making contact with a part of a fuel tank are formed at intervals on the outer peripheral surface of a peripheral wall extending between the mounting part 44f and the mounting flange 44i, and peripheral wall through-holes 44h are formed between the protrusion parts 44s.
