PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a piston in which soundness in point of strength and effective cooling of the piston are attained. SOLUTION: The piston is constituted of a ring carrier 2 provided around the periphery of the upper part of the piston 1, an annular cooling pipe 6 provided integrally with the ring carrier 2, an oil-conducting path 7 communicating with the annular cooling pipe 6, and an oil-discharging path 8.
