PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reclaiming and reusing unreacted ethylene oxide without using extra energy in preparing 2-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate by addition reaction of (meth)acrylic acid with ethylene oxide. SOLUTION: The method comprises evaporating the unreacted ethylene oxide and bringing it into contact with the obtained to another raw material (meth)acrylic acid so as to be absorbed and reused.
