PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce whole resistance of a ship by reducing wave resistance of the ship. SOLUTION: The side surface structures on both sides of the ship are projected and molded in the travel direction and in parallel with the travel direction, more water flow facing the ship is guided to the lower part of the hull, thereby reducing the wave resistance. The increased amount of frictional resistance by water flow guided to the lower part of the hull is smaller than the reduced mount of the wave resistance, so that the resistance of the whole ship is reduced.
