<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately select and design a functional nucleic acid array having a function which controls the appearance of target gene. <P>SOLUTION: A kernel method to perform characteristic extraction from the functional nucleic acid array of design candidates and a known functional array is used to construct an active sorting model by using known functional nucleic acid array data as a training pattern by learning with a teacher in a high-dimensional feature space, or to make it come back to a sorting model to recur so that functional nucleic acid valid to target gene can be analyzed. A mismatch string kernel is used for a calculation method to execute the mapping of the functional array data to the feature space, and a support vector machine(SVM) or a support vector recurrence(SVR) is applied to the learning with a teacher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
