<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely give information for an instructed position while dispensing with a power supply. <P>SOLUTION: When a specified position within an instruction range 9 on a tablet 7 is instructed by use of an input pen 1, the light from a back light 11 is incident on the glass bead 5 of the input pen 1. The incident light is reflected by a reflecting member 33, returned to the same direction in parallel to the incident light with a slight positional slippage and incident on an optical sensor 23. Since the input pen 1 has the property of retroreflection involving a slight positional slippage, the irregular reflection in the position instructed by the input pen 1 can be prevented. Accordingly, information for the instructed position can be precisely given to the tablet 7 while dispensing with the power supply to the input pen 1. Further, since the reflecting member 33 never directly makes contact with the surface of the instruction range 9 of the tablet 7, the performance of the reflecting member 33 can be kept over a long period without abrasion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
