<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a menu configuration enabling to efficiently perform a desired icon selection and a hierarchy moving operation between menues in various kinds of electronic equipment in which selection of an icon to be displayed on a display means is performed by operation to an input operation means. <P>SOLUTION: A menu composed of icons 40 aligned in a flat annular shape and a central icon 41 arranged in the center thereof is displayed on the display means 22. The protruding part of a ball 23A of a track ball device 23 that is the input operation means is circumferentially operated so that the line connecting the rotating center of the ball 23A to the apex part of the protruding part is the rotating center line, whereby a desired one of the icons 40 aligned in the annular shape can be selected.
